Jason Legget

Head of Business Development, Peel Media

Jason Legget is Head of Business Development for Peel Media, the developers and operators of MediaCityUK. He is tasked with liaison and partnership working with all public sector bodies, tenant pipeline development and commercial opportunities and deal flow between Peel Media and partners.

Prior to the current role, he spend 3 years working in the public sector leading the North West Development Agency’s engagement with MediaCityUK project while at the same time working with key companies across the sector from ITV and BBC through to Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and All3Media (Lime Pictures).

Graduating from Teesside University in International Design & Marketing, Jason worked in marketing for cable firm Comcast (then NTL), before moving into electronic publishing working for Trinity Mirror as Director of Digital Media and running a dot-com spin-out. A four year period of self employment as a media consultant working with SME's, Blue Chip and Public Sector organisations provided a unique insight into a range of media and technology businesses and led up to the move into the Public Sector working for the NWDA in 2006.
