Networking
This year The Media Festival has been rewired to facilitate better networking between peers and speakers. 2009 will see the creation of a community that extends outside the 3 days of intensive learning and face to face networking of the event. We've also added new features to encourage debate at the event as well as the opportunity for delegates to steer session discussion.
Pre-Festival
Start networking today and make the most of the 3 days - all registered festival-goers benefit from a dedicated social networking forum where delegates can create their own profile and plan meetings in advance - use this to post ideas and comments on content and speakers for your opportunity to determine this year's programme.
During The Media Festival
- Grab a breakout room at The Media Festival for an impromptu meeting with new collaborators!
- Post panel Q&A sessions - pick your panel member and get targeted face-to-face time with the speaker of your choice.
- Have your say and generate discussions - this year's The Media Festival will be fully linked to Twitter screens during sessions and delegates will be able to comment and ask questions through this platform.
- Stay in one place - this year the event takes place in one venue so you can maximise networking with fellow delegates and speakers.
- Hosted tables - The Festival board comprises a varied group of media professionals an over the course of the event they will be hosting lunchtime discussions on a number of digital content issues. Be prepared to be asked for personally by our prestigious board!
